- Job Duties:
- A large family-owned dryland farm and cow-calf operation in New Mexico. Primarily grow wheat, milo, hay grazer and cotton. Our
equipment primarily consists of late model John Deere machines. We would ask our employees to do something as simple as taking out the trash or mowing around the farm up to plowing, planting and harvesting crops. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements; clean work areas; inform farm managers of plants or crops progress; load and unload materials and commodities; maintain grounds and landscaping; maintain inventory; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; record information about crops; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bailers and other hay equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt moving equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, skid steers, sprayers, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tillage equipment, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cattle, cotton, grain sorghum, hay, wheat. Must speak and understand English.
