- Job Duties:
- Workers will perform skilled tasks involved in the cultivation and harvest of corn, soybeans, and wheat on a grain farm in Ramsey County, North Dakota. Duties include operating and maintaining tractors, planters, sprayers, combines, and other mechanized farm equipment. Workers will carry out spring field preparation, including tilling, fertilizing, and pre-plant weed control. Planting duties involve loading seed, calibrating equipment, and ensuring proper depth and row spacing. Mid-season crop care includes herbicide and pesticide application, irrigation setup and monitoring, and field scouting for pests or crop health issues. Harvest responsibilities include combining, transporting, and storing grain, as well as performing basic repairs and upkeep on harvest machinery. Post-harvest duties include equipment cleaning, field maintenance, and preparing facilities for winter. Workers must be able to lift heavy items, follow written and oral instructions, and work efficiently under seasonal time constraints. Duties are physically demanding and require endurance, attention to detail, and familiarity with standard agricultural practices. Workers must adhere to all safety protocols. The job may involve extended hours during peak periods. All tools, equipment, protective gear, housing, and daily transportation to worksites are provided at no cost to the worker. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
