Including but not limited to the duties listed required. Worker is responsible for bringing suitable clothing and shoes for work. Worker needs to be flexible in start and end times of hours listed due to the fact that Breeding has to focus on daylight and weather. Employer will provide all tools, supplies, and clothes including waterproof clothing and boots to complete agricultural tasks. Driver's license is recommended. Breeding is specific to April through July months; Duties include, but are not limited to, catching turkeys, picking eggs, cleaning eggs, washing and disinfecting eggs and incubation equipment, caring for adult birds and poults, prepare poults to transport pens, feeding, bedding, cleaning, and shoveling manure. Temperatures range from 10- 100 degrees for working in turkey pens and facility.
Later in the Fall and winter season duties also include, but are not limited to, caring for turkeys, feeding, watering, cleaning pens, spreading bedding (this includes shoveling and using a pitchfork). Duties also include handling turkeys for various reasons, picking them up dead or alive, moving them pen to pen etc. and slaughtering, and processing, lifting, picking, eviscerating, cleaning up, operating machinery, icing, weighing, and packing. One month's experience in duties listed required. Must be able to meet workload and complete tasks in a timely manner, work independently, without supervision. Worker must refrain from cell phone use other than on breaks unless an emergency.
