Job Duties:

Total workers needed: 5 over 2 staggered start dates. Staggered arrival dates: Group 1: 1 worker on or about 4-1-26 Group 2: 4 workers on or about 5-1-26 Duration of employment: 4-1-26 to 11-1-26 Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties related to the production of alfalfa, barley, hay and livestock for the majority of the workdays in the overall contract period, commensurate with the duties encompassed within the five SOC Codes comprising the field and livestock workers (combined) category. General Farm Work will include the following responsibilities: maintain, drive, attach and operate farm implements/tractors/equipment to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilize and harvest crops; make minor mechanical adjustments and repairs on farm machinery; operate backhoe; may mix and/or spray chemicals (according to appropriate restrictive use laws, when/if applicable); remove undesirable and excess growth from crops or farm grounds; remove rocks from field; paint/repair farm structures; build/replace/repair/maintain fencing; perform general cleanup of farm areas; mowing worker living and eating quarters; drive, load/unload farm trucks; operate motor bike or all-terrain vehicle in the course of performing duties; workers possessing the proper licensure may be asked to transport other farm workers. Job duties for ground squirrel control: monitor behavior and timing control applications/measures accordingly; using all-terrain vehicle, check/re-fill/move bait stations; ground application on foot, walking fields in a grid-like pattern; handle/apply bait according to EPA labeling, including but not limited to measuring bait amounts, building bait stations to spec’s and placing bait stations according to law; maintain all-terrain vehicle.
