Job Duties:
Workers will operate and maintain various agricultural machinery used in grain farming, including tractors, combines, grain carts, sprayers, and trucks. Primary responsibilities include performing spring tillage, planting, fertilizing, and spraying operations according to seasonal crop requirements. Workers will carry out harvesting activities for wheat, barley, corn, and soybeans, ensuring safe and efficient use of machinery throughout. Post-harvest duties include tillage to prepare fields for the next planting cycle. Workers will conduct routine pre- and post-season servicing of equipment to maintain optimal performance and minimize downtime, including checking fluid levels, filters, tires, belts, and cleaning equipment as necessary. Responsibilities also include assisting in the cleaning of grain bins and general upkeep of equipment storage areas. Work may involve loading and transporting harvested grain, monitoring equipment during operation, and performing minor repairs or adjustments as needed to ensure continued functionality. Duties are performed in varying field and weather conditions and require physical stamina, attention to safety, and adherence to operating procedures. The nature of this work demands experience in similar agricultural environments and the ability to safely operate complex machinery under time-sensitive conditions during peak planting and harvest periods. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.

Special Requirements:
Minimum 3 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level II Experienced Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level II Experienced Level, indicating that the job requires prior related experience, independent judgment in performing recurring tasks, and the ability to work with limited supervision. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
