- Job Duties:
- We are a 5000 acre row crop farming operation. We primarily grow cotton, hay, wheat, corn, and milo. Our equipment consists of John Deere tractors, new model Massey Ferguson swather and baler, and John Deere boom and hooded sprayers, John Deere 12 row planters, 40 foot Sunflower drill, John Deere round bale cotton picker and stripper. We do a lot of hay production. Job duties would include swathing, raking and baling hay, cotton planting, crop spraying, pivot and poly pipe row water irrigation, fencing and some mechanic work. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides,
growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; maintain grounds and landscaping; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; tilling soil,
transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, bailers and other hay equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, cotton stripper/picker, GPS guidance systems, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, sprayers, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tillage equipment,
tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, cotton, grain sorghum, soybeans, wheat.
