Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Pick rocks; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Wash, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment such as light welding; Inform farm manager of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery such as swather, baler, rake, stacker, loader to fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as hay; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities; Clean work areas and shop; Mow grass, spray weeds; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions into machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Hours will vary based on weather/crop conditions, haying often occurs at night at correct moisture content; Speak and understand English.

- Special Requirements:
- Two (2) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
