Job Duties:

Workers will provide vegetable crop care, plant management, hand weeding, thinning, cutting runners, cutting dead stems, cleaning old fruit of dead plant material, soil preparation, and planting/harvesting of fruits and vegetables. Workers will sort fruits according to size, color, shape and degree of maturity; keep count of harvested and loaded crops, ensuring accuracy of all counts, record keeping, overages, shortages, and errors. May use handheld knife and/or cannery ring. Employer will provide transportation to/from worksite locations, housing, and grocery store. All vehicles are compliant with local, state, federal, and MSPA requirements.

Special Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older. Valid drivers license will be required to drive company vehicles. Must have (2) months experience in agricultural crop(s) activities. At the expense of the employer/owner: (1) criminal background checks may be conducted on all new applicants for employment (2) pre- and post hire drug testing may be required, and all tools, supplies, and equipment will be provided. Workers may be subjected to and must pass post-employment, employer-paid drug test. Workers must report to work sober and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol which may pose a safety threat to themselves or others. Workers are provided a two-day break-in period to acclimate to the demands of the job. Workers must be physically fit to perform job duties without succumbing to excessive exhaustion after break-in period.
