Job Duties:

Laborer/Driver will conduct simple daily vehicle maintenance checks, pick up workers from employer-provided housing, take them to the worksite, and drive them back to their housing. They will only spend about fifteen percent of their workday doing these job duties. Other daily duties include field walking, scanning buckets picked, dumping blueberries into lugs, loading/unloading blueberries onto truck, filling water jugs with drinking water for the workers each morning and when needed, and ensuring field sanitation measures are maintained throughout the day. They are required to live in the housing provided by the employer and take workers once a week to cash checks and to the food store. Must have or be able to obtain immediately a farm labor contractor license. Background check and random drug testing will be post-hire at employer's expense. Any driver employed under this job order must have a valid federal Farm Labor Contractor Certificate of Registration and must abide by all the requirements of the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA). The employer understands that they are responsible for assuring that all conditions of this agreement are met regardless of any acts or omissions of the crew leader.

Workers must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by supervisors and practice safety in all aspects of work. The employer is a drug-free workplace and has a zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol in the workplace and in the employer-provided housing. Background check and random drug testing will be conducted post-hire at employer's expense. Drug testing may be done post-accident and for cases with valid reasons for suspicion.
