- Job Duties:
- General farm labor is needed to help with harvesting of oysters from oyster leases/beds and raising/harvesting soft shell crabs. This work will include: harvesting oysters, operating an oyster boat, coning oysters, dredging, weighing and tagging of oysters/crabs, inspecting and sorting oysters/crabs; handpicking oysters/crabs; setting/checking nets/traps, monitor crabs during the shelling/growing process; insert/remove crabs from growing tanks; sack, package oysters/crabs; deliver harvested product to docks/customers; help repair and maintain farm equipment and shop; assist with loading and unloading of trucks/boats; must be able to drive vehicle/boat to various fishing locations/docks/beds.
