Job Duties:

FARM LABORER: Job requires worker to complete tasks in sod, hay, and alfalfa production and general farm maintenance. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties. Workers will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: clean, maintain and prepare farm buildings and grounds; plant, transplant, and lay sod; bale, pack, and stack hay and alfalfa; harvest crops to quality standards; maintain and operate agricultural equipment such as tractors, mowers, weed eater, and sod cutter to complete farm tasks; weed and maintain crops; install and maintain irrigation; drive Employer-provided vehicle; and haul product to customer, market, or storage locations to be determined within: Livingston, Ingham, Wayne, Macomb, St Claire, Washtenaw, Kalamazoo, Jackson, Oakland, Genesse, and Lapeer counties with all locations allowing workers to reasonably return within same workday. Pay will be hourly. Other duties assigned under this order will be consistent under Bureau of Labor Statistics Standard Occupational Classification: Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery and Greenhouse Workers (45-2092)

Special Requirements:

Experience Requirement: 3 month(s) verifiable experience in commercial agriculture experience required. Applicants must furnish job references from employers of the last 5 years establishing acceptable prior experience. Worker must possess requisite physical strength and endurance to repeat harvest process throughout workday. Worker must work at sustained pace and make good faith efforts to work efficiently as reasonable under working conditions. Season Commitment: Job offered requires worker to be available for work for entire employment period.
