Job Duties:

We have a row crop and hay farming operation. We primarily grow cotton and hay with side roll irrigation. Our equipment primarily consists of late model equipment comprising of John Deere and other machines. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; inform farm managers of plants or crops progress; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; record information about crops; regulate conditions; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: bailers and other hay equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, cotton module trucks, cotton stripper/picker, dirt moving equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, skid steers, sprayers, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cotton, hay, wheat. Must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain following hire appropriate CDL and obtain clean driving record to drive trucks. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
