Job Duties:

Operating equipment such as truck or tractor with trailer attached in the process of reaping, harvesting, threshing, swathing or winnowing grain and forage crops such as corn, wheat, hay, canola, milo; pre-record information about crops during harvesting; direct and monitor harvesting work; weigh crops and record weights and identifying information; perform manual or mechanical adjustments; maintain and repair equipment and tools; transport harvested crops to elevators, silos, or other storage areas; drive equipment such as trucks, tractors, and trailers from one field to another; maintain irrigation sprinklers.

Special Requirements:

Compliance with safety requirements for all equipment and label warnings provided by operator manuals. Employer has a strict policy prohibiting drug use. Any drug testing will be post hire and at the employer's expense. Assisting with the farming operation includes lifting agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to the 75 lb. lifting requirement listed at B.4.e. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather or other unpredictable variables that impact the farms operation. (as applicable and per the job description).
