Job Duties:

Workers will perform routine agricultural labor associated with the seasonal production of seed potatoes, spring wheat, and edible beans. Duties will include field and shed work that follows the normal agricultural production cycle from early spring through late fall. Workers will assist with planting activities, including preparing fields, handling seed, and supporting planting operations. During the growing season, workers will perform cultivation-related tasks necessary for crop development, including general field labor and crop handling. Harvest-related duties will include assisting with harvesting operations, handling crops in the field, and transporting harvested crops to designated storage or handling areas on the farm. Workers will perform grading and sorting of potatoes and other crops to ensure quality standards are met, including separating produce by size and condition and preparing crops for storage or further handling. Additional duties include routine shed activities such as cleaning, organizing, and maintaining work areas used for crop handling. All work performed will be agricultural in nature and directly related to crop production. The position does not involve supervisory, managerial, clerical, or non-agricultural duties. Work assignments may vary daily based on crop conditions, weather, and stage of production, consistent with standard farming operations. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level II Experienced Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level II Experienced Level, indicating that the job requires prior related experience, independent judgment in performing recurring tasks, and the ability to work with limited supervision. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
