Job Duties:

Commodities: Brome hay, oats, barley, cattle This position includes cultivation of field crops and tending cattle. Duties include: Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest field crops. Apply fertilizer and pesticides. Repair fences and remove shrub growth from fence lines and fields. Operate farm equipment, including tractors, planters and harvesters, as well as farm trucks and low boys. General maintenance of equipment, tools, buildings, shops, and livestock pens. Attend to cattle, which may include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, branding and ear tagging. Monitor animals to detect diseases and injuries. Assist in birth deliveries; and administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate. Clean and maintain animal housing areas. Hand shoveling in the smaller livestock stalls may be required.
