Job Duties:

Hand weed fields; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers; Occasionally perform minor repairs and maintenance to farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment on the farm by using hand and power tools to replace, lubricate, bind and severe materials, clean, wash, etc.; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment such as manually loading and laying out poly pipe, punch holes in pipe, run water furrow with small tractor; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as combine, cotton picker, John Deere sprayer, backhoe, grain cart to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn, cotton, soybeans; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Haul and spread fertilizer and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix and measure materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Speak English.

Special Requirements:

Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
