Job Duties:
We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Farm Equipment Operator to support daily farming operations. This role requires operating a wide range of agricultural equipment, maintaining cleanliness and functionality of machinery and facilities, and working independently while communicating effectively with management. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is safety-focused, and understands that asking questions is a strength—not a weakness.Key Responsibilities:Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery including: Skid steers / Bobcats, Medium and large tractors, Grain trucks and farm trucks hauling grain and inputsAssist with planting, harvest, grain handling, and general field operations as neededGrain Handling & Facility Work: Clean out grain bins safely and thoroughly, Load, unload, and move grain as directed, Maintain clean, organized grain handling areas, Maintenance & Mechanical Work: Perform routine equipment cleaning, servicing, and inspections, Conduct basic to above-average mechanical repairs and troubleshooting, Identify potential mechanical issues early and report or address them appropriatelyGeneral Farm Duties: Keep equipment, shop, and work areas clean and organized, Follow all safety procedures and farm protocols, Work independently to complete assigned tasks efficiently and correctly Farming with: Corn, Durum, Soy Beans, Sunflower

Special Requirements:
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Experience operating farm machinery, including tractors and skid steers. Comfortable working in and around grain bins and confined spaces (with proper safety procedures). Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness and humility to ask questions when clarification is needed. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children and expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Basic to above-average mechanical aptitude and repair skills. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks.
