Job Duties:

This job is for a First Line Supervisor. Duties include: Day-to-Day Crop Growing Management: Supervise, with hands-on involvement, all farming activities, which may include any of the following: irrigation system installation (drip tape, pipe and spray for soil), field prep, planting, nutrient management, pruning, harvesting, checking quality, farm maintenance, tractor operation, etc. Monitor workers to ensure that safety regulations are followed, warning or disciplining those who violate safety regulations. Train employees for, field preparation, planting, harvest, cultivating, weeding, the use of machinery and any other farming-related activity. Inspect the assigned crop and field and determine conditions for cultivating, spraying, weeding or harvesting. Coordinate dismantling, moving and setting up equipment for the job. Schedule work crews, equipment, or transportation for the different work locations. Plan work schedules according to personnel and equipment availability. Compliance: Comply with all labor laws, global gap or food safety audits, company policy and workers safety. Operate Equipment: Inspects equipment such as bathroom trailers, farm vehicles, first aid kits and water containers are in safe and operable conditions. Ensures that all employees wear the proper work attire to avoid work-related accident or food safety violations. Operates tractor or truck to move trailer as necessary during workday. and equipment safety requirements, to include but not limited the use of personal protective equipment. Oversee personnel doing any of these tasks.

CREW LEADER COULD SUPERVISE FROM 25 UP TO 50 SUPERVISE IN THE FOLLOWING: Will include prolonged walking, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Job is outdoors and continues in all types of weather. Workers may be requested to submit to random drug / alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or a positive test may result in immediate termination. All the testing will occur post-hire and not a part of the interview process. Negative result may be required post-hire and before commencing work. Employee must be able to lift 75 lbs. to shoulder height repetitively throughout the workday is able to lift and carry 75 lbs. in field. Must not hinder any other workers productivity. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic device during working hours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination. Requires 12 months verifiable prior work experience in the crop activities list
