Job Duties:

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as cleaning, sweeping bins; sorting and storing hay in stacks and yards. Remove hay and crops from fields. Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as hay, corn, wheat; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer’s fields, load employer’s crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; using hand tools to remove brush from fence lines. Organize and clean shops, buildings and other farm buildings. Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools; Manual labor in extreme temperatures.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
