Job Duties:
Worker will perform duties related to the care and management of dairy heifers and crop production in a pasture-based grazing system. Duties include attending to and caring for dairy heifers; monitoring cattle health and heat detection; administering medications and vaccinations; moving cattle between grazing areas; mixing and transporting feed; and maintaining livestock facilities. Worker will plant, cultivate, and harvest forage crops; prepare and maintain fields; operate and perform routine maintenance on farm equipment including tractors, skid loaders, manure spreaders, mowers, and harvesting equipment; haul and apply manure; load and unload crops and feed; repair and maintain fences, buildings, and farm grounds; and drive employer-provided vehicles to worksites. Duties are performed under general supervision and are consistent with the occupation of Farmworkers, Farm, Ranch, and Aquacultural Animals (SOC 45-2093). Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties and safety procedures.

Special Requirements:
Requires 3 months of verifiable experience working with cattle in a grazing or dairy livestock system and operating farm equipment. Experience must include livestock handling, monitoring animal health, assisting with administering medications or vaccinations as directed, and safe operation and routine maintenance of agricultural equipment such as tractors and loaders. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must possess a valid drivers license or be eligible to obtain one within 30 days of hire. Must be able to understand and communicate in English sufficient to follow work and safety instructions.
