Job Duties:

FARM LABORER: Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: maintain and clean field, including mow, weed, and pick up rocks; assemble and install greenhouse and high tunnel; install, maintain and repair fencing and irrigation; assemble, pin and disassemble plastic tunnels; plant, transplant and seed plants; lay plastic; install tomato trellising; clip growing tomato plants; stake plants and apply tying twine between stakes; plastic mulch clean-up; string removal; thin and prune plants; unbundle wires; hand harvest to quality standards watermelons, melons, pumpkins, cantaloupes, tomatoes and other small produce; drive tractor to/from worksites with different attachments that assist with planting, harvesting, maintaining, cleaning, cultivating, transporting or transplanting; drive employer provided vehicle to deliver employer grown produce and supplies to Hackman Family Farm Marke Farm Market; maintain harvest buckets, bags, bins, and equipment; repair and maintain farm equipment; packing and sorting activities such as dump, clean, grade, sort, count, pack, and stack produce to customer standards. Workers will frequently lift ranging in weight 75 lbs. and in teams over 75lbs. and up. Other duties assigned under this order will be consistent under Bureau of Labor Statistics Standard Occupational Classification: Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery and Greenhouse Workers (45-2092) Pay will be hourly.

Special Requirements:

Experience Requirement: 2 month(s) verifiable experience in commercial agriculture experience hand harvesting fruits or vegetables required. Applicants must furnish job references from employers of the last 3 years establishing acceptable prior experience. Job requires worker to complete tasks in watermelons, pumpkins, cantaloupes, tomatoes and other small produce. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties. Drug Testing done at employer's expense and not utilized as preemployment tool. Season Commitment: Job offered requires worker be available for work for entire employment period.
