Job Duties:

We are a Registered Hereford seedstock operation with 200 cows and yearlings. We sell Bulls in our annual sale and AI breed all cows. Farming is 160 acres with newer pivot. We raise Hay crops to feed. Equipment is 2000 and newer. John Deere and Case. Own or lease 10,000 acres pasture so extensive barbwire fencing repair as well as corral building. Use 4 wheelers and side by side. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements; clean work areas; construct facilities; direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; inform farm managers of plants or crops progress; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; maintain grounds and landscaping; operate self propelled machinery; record information about crops; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; general carpentry to repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; welding and mechanical aptitude are very helpful skills. Livestock are all handled in a low stress quiet manner. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: bailers and other hay equipment, dirt moving equipment, irrigation equipment, manure spreading equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, self-propelled machinery, skid steers, sprayers, spreaders, straight frame trucks, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tillage equipment, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cattle, hay, trees. We would like to trade a few Sundays for weekdays work so we can get some time off. Must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
