- Job Duties:
- Timber harvesting. Using a machine called a cutter, the workers will be cutting the trees down. If it is an oversized tree it will require a saw hand or a chain saw to cut the top out of the tree. Then a skidder operator will come with the skidder and will grab the tree and drag to the log set where the tree will be loaded onto a truck to be transported to a mill. The loader operator will clean the tree up for transportation to the mill. Workers will be operating heavy equipment; skidder, cutter, and loader, bulldozer and chain saw. Light mechanic work will also be used.
