Job Duties:

Summer Prune trees, harvest apples and pumpkins, orchard and field maintenance, bin repair, Hand thinning, Planting trees, Picking up roots & rocks, tractor driving work, barn & camp and market maintenance, storage work, moving plants to and from the market, driving product to and from the market, unloading/loading trucks at the market, planting mums/ caring for mums, planting/ harvesting sweet corn, planting/ harvesting fresh cut flowers/ flower field work, general Maintenance and farm/ market clean up, Watering plants, yard mowing at the market /farm with small ride on mower/ other lawn landscaping maintenance. -Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers. -Observe and listen to machinery peration to detect equipment malfunctions. -Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery, building maintenance, -Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. - Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. -Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Load and unload crops or containers of materials, operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (weather on or off the farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach the farm fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as needed basis Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess an appropriate license, no one will be rejected for this position that does not possess a drivers license. Workers are expected to work the number of days and hours specified. Depending on weather, crop or other conditions, workers may be requested, but not required to work up to seven days per week and/or on the Sabbath and will be paid overtime accordingly. Employer will furnish workers, without cost, all the tools and equipment required in the performance of the duties assigned. Workers should report for work with their own suitable clothes. While working in the field, phone usage is limited to emergency use only.
