Job Duties:

FARM LABORER: Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: plant, transplant, tie, stake, hoe, pull weeds, and other general care of plants; load and unload plants; lay, mend, fix and remove black tunnel plastic and drip tape; set up, operate, and maintain irrigation systems; maintain and clean up farm, field, packing shed and equipment; operate tractors, vehicles, and forklifts to transport, load, unload harvested product to and from employer owned/operated worksites; harvest to quality standards cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, corn, cucumber, eggplant, green bean, garlic, melon, onion, variety pepper, pumpkin, gourds, winter squash, tomato, zucchini, and summer squash; packing/sorting activities to quality standards, including pack, clean, sort, and load produce and stack, repair, and assemble boxes and bins. Pay will be hourly. Other duties assigned under this order will be consistent under Bureau of Labor Statistics Standard Occupational Classification: Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery and Greenhouse Workers (45-2092)

Special Requirements:

3 month(s) verifiable experience in commercial fruit and/or vegetable hand harvest experience required. Applicants must furnish job references from employers of the last 5 years establishing acceptable prior experience. Job requires worker to complete tasks in general farm labor, planting and harvest of cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet corn, Indian corn, cucumber, eggplant, green beans, garlic, cantaloupe, watermelons, onions, peppers (all varieties), pumpkins, gourds, winter squash, cherry and regular tomatoes, zucchini and summer squash. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties. Drug testing done at employer's expense and not utilized as preemployment tool. Season Commitment: Job offered requires worker be available for work for entire employment period.
