- Job Duties:
- We need seasonal employees to assist with our corn, rye, soybean, and alfalfa crop production season. Employees will assist with all assigned duties related to growing these crops, including preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; and operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery. Workers will engage in planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, and harvesting activities; install, maintain, and repair pivot irrigation systems; and load and unload crops or materials manually or using conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, or hand trucks. Employees will load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines using forklifts, augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks; manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust equipment mechanisms; and observe and listen to machinery during operation to detect malfunctions. Workers will drive farm semi-trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools; inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment; record agricultural data as required; and perform general equipment maintenance and repair. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
