Job Duties:

FARM EQUIPMENT OPERATOR: Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: operate farm equipment and machinery such as forklifts, tractors, mowers, harvesters, and trucks for agricultural tasks including soil preparation, manure loading, application and hauling, harvesting crops including alfalfa, corn, grass, straw and other forage, fertilizer applications, batwing mowing, and mechanical rock picking; perform general maintenance of farm grounds and buildings including mowing grass, clearing fences rows, picking up garbage around farm, cleaning farm buildings, maintaining and establishing drainage ditches, and fixing or repairing field tile; perform routine general preventative maintenance and servicing of farm equipment and implements including daily safety inspections; maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment; drive employer-provided vehicle to and from the worksite and to other locations; drive tractor to and from fields while pulling different attachments; operate or assist with trailer/tanker loading and unloading; haul harvested crops from the field to the farm; load and haul compost between farm and field locations; operate packing tractor on the harvested crop pile to pack the crop down; if authorized, worker may occasionally be required to operate different types of semi-trucks and trailers that are used during manure hauling and application and hauling sand; and assist with additional agricultural duties related to crop harvest.

Special Requirements:

Job requires worker to complete tasks in agriculture equipment operation for crops including corn, alfalfa, grass, and straw and other general farm work. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties. Experience Requirement: 3 month(s) verifiable experience operating large commercial farm equipment. Applicants must furnish job references from employers of the last 3 years establishing acceptable prior experience. Season Commitment: Job offered requires worker be available for work for entire employment period.
