Job Duties:

This job consists of Irrigation Trellis Repair and Crop Pruning duties: Perform heavy manual labor for extended periods in all types of weather. Troubleshoot maintenance problems and determine materials and supplies required for repair. Irrigation: Performs varied semi-skilled and skilled duties in the maintenance, repair, and construction of irrigation systems. Areas of responsibility, include, but are not limited to, installation, operation, maintenance, and inspection of irrigation systems. The worker must be able to use pruners, a knife, line dispenser, tractor, hand tools and a 4-wheeler. Hand Lines-Work consists of lifting lateral pipe full of water until it is empty and then relocating in the field, loading, and unloading irrigation pipe on a trailer and driving a small truck. Moving hand lines at scheduled intervals in crops and between fi elds. Running irrigation as schedule. Drip Irrigation- Removing, installing, repairing drip irrigation lines, and fl ushing drip tubes. Running irrigation as schedule. Big Guns Water-Running big gun irrigation systems as instructed. This includes setup and timer scheduling and removal. Running irrigation as scheduled. Please see Addendum C: A.8a Job Duties (a)
