Job Duties:

Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, fertilize, cultivate, harvest, and store grain crops. Record field operations on monitors in equipment. Attach farm implements, such as a planter, disc, and drill to tractor. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General maintenance and cleaning of shop, farm equipment, machinery and vehicles - lubrication, oil change and replacing of filters. Drive farm equipment like tractor, combine, swather, mower. Observe and listen to machinery operations to detect equipment problems and report to supervisor. Transfer grain by auger, scoop, and/or shovel. Prepare grain bins for storage. Drive grain cart and use computer program to keep track of harvested grain weight. Drive trucks to haul crops, tools, and supplies. Load manure, with payloader, onto manure spreader truck or side dump and haul/spread on field site. Must speak English fluently. Farming with: Corn, Millet, Milo, Winter Wheat
