Job Duties:

Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as moving hay; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Inform farm manager of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to fertilize, spray and harvest crops such as hay; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping including controlling weeds in pastures and fields; Maintain, fashion, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach equipment using hand tools; Attend to live farm animals including crawfish and cattle such as repair and/or replace, repair, rebait traps, harvest crawfish, calve, wean, process, feed, market cattle; Prepare traps for storage and store traps; Perform end of season maintenance on boats and traps.

Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. . Lift up to 75 lbs.
