Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Attend to animals produced for animal products such as meat;. Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, weighing, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Assist in birth deliveries and administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Drive pickups, tractors, and other equipment to swath, rake, bale, store, distribute hay (feed) to animals; Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Use shovels and hand tools to dig trenches to control water flow; Operate power pole saw, chain saw to cut trees; Unload from trailer; Work will be performed in extreme conditions such as cold, heat, rain, humidity, snow.

- Special Requirements:
- Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
