Job Duties:

We need seasonal employees to assist with our corn, pumpkins, sweet and tart cherries, asparagus, cucumbers, apples, peaches, Christmas trees, and strawberries crop production season. Employees will assist with all aspects of crop production, including preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; and operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery. Duties include planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, fertilizing, irrigating, and harvesting crops. Workers will apply fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus, weeds, and diseases using hand sprayers, irrigate soil using portable pipes or ditch systems, maintain ditches, pipes, and pumps, and install, maintain, and repair pivot irrigation systems. Employees will load and unload crops or materials manually or using conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, or hand trucks, manipulate controls to set and adjust equipment mechanisms, and observe and listen to machinery during operation to detect malfunctions. Additional responsibilities include inspecting, adjusting, and completing routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and irrigation systems, recording agricultural data as required, and performing general upkeep necessary to support farm operations. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience.

Special Requirements:

Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures and the ability to perform physically demanding work. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, possess a valid regular drivers license, and have at least three months of relevant agricultural experience.
