Job Duties:

Workers will perform a variety of duties associated with the planting, cultivation, harvesting, and packing of diversified vegetable crops, including but not limited to corn, tomatoes, peppers, squash, cauliflower, cabbage, and potatoes Primary responsibilities include: Hand harvesting, picking, and field grading of mature crops according to size, quality, and ripeness standards Packing and loading harvested produce into containers in the field and/or packing area Staking, tying, and stringing plants to support proper growth and yield Planting, transplanting, and replanting crops as directed Weeding fields using hand tools such as hoes to maintain crop health General field maintenance including pruning, thinning, and removal of debris Assisting with irrigation setup and maintenance as needed operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (weather on or off the farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach the farm fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as needed basis. Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess an appropriate license; no one will be rejected for this position that does not possess a driver's license. Following all food safety and handling standards during harvest and packing activities Workers must be able to perform prolonged walking, bending, stooping, and lifting (50 lbs]) in varying weather conditions.
