- Job Duties:
- Detassel corn: Use clippers to carefully remove the tassels from live corn plants in the field. Clean and sort seed corn. Detasseling- Contractor shall remove as many tassels as reasonably possible, depending upon weather conditions and volume of corn by and under the control and/or supervision of Company at fields listed as worksites. Roguing- Contractor shall remove rogues and off types from seed corn being grown by and under the control and/or supervision of Company at fields listed as worksites. Seasonal Green Sort and Harvest Operations- Work closely with the Harvest Supervisor to ensure product quality and integrity. Responsibilities may include but not limited to: Green Corn Receiving, Husking Bed Filling and Observation, Green Corn Sorting, Dryer Operations, Shelling Operations, Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized area.
