Job Duties:

This job requires Vegetable Harvester/Packer by the worker. Field crew tasks will include transplanting, hand weeding, hoeing, laying down crop protections such as agricultural fabrics and row covers, moving irrigation line, operating small machinery such as mowers and weed eaters, light greenhouse work such as watering, planting, weeding, pruning. Harvest tasks will include hand harvest of bunched greens such as kale, chard, cilantro, pac Choi, carrots, beets, etc. Head lettuce, picking peas, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbages, root crops and winter squash will also be harvested. Most of these crops will be fi eld packed so there will be some packing trailer work which includes receiving harvested produce on a conveyor and packing into boxes, building boxes on a trailer, stacking and Unstacking boxes of produce. There will be some indoor packing shed work such as icing, spraying and Stacking boxes as well as working on a wash line washing and packing root crops. See Addendum C: A.8a Job Duties (a)
