- Job Duties:
- A diesel mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This includes diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine preventative maintenance, and ensuring all systems are operating safely and efficiently. Duties include inspecting engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and other essential systems; using diagnostic tools and software to identify malfunctions; repairing or replacing defective components; and conducting regular services such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
