Job Duties:
Workers will perform hand-harvesting of watermelons in the field. They will walk along rows of watermelon plants, identify ripe fruit, and bend or squat to pick watermelons, which can weigh between 20 and 60 pounds each. Workers will handle the fruit carefully to avoid damage and place it into containers for transport. In addition to harvesting, workers may assist with minor field tasks, including removing debris or leaves from plants, organizing harvested fruit, maintaining clean work areas, and helping with irrigation or other routine field maintenance as directed by supervisors. Workers will be provided with the Job Order no later than the time they apply for their Visa. Los trabajadores realizarán la cosecha manual de sandías en el campo.
