Job Duties:
Duties may include: Tending to shellfish during every phase of it's life (from baby Spat to market size). Worker will handle animals delicately. Must be comfortable lifting heavy amounts on sometimes uneven ground, work hours may vary based on tides. Workers may transport small tools or equipment between the shop and farm as part of normal operations. Use of boats, fork lift, grinders, drills and hydraulics, & other related Shellfish Farm Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.

Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment.Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense.Variable weather conditions may apply.
