- Job Duties:
- Responsible for daily care of all housing on the ranch to include, dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning and maintaining housing. Maintain and launder bedding, cleaning shower stalls and tubs along with vanities and commodes. Cleaning kitchen, organizing and maintaining cleaning supplies, toiletries and food. Clean outside areas. Maintain grounds including mowing, weed eating and caring for plants. Cooking and cleaning along with groundskeeping and gardening. Herd cattle, check herd health, vaccinate, spray, maintain fences, spray toxic weeds in pastures, drive tractor to feed cattle and deer. Assist with deer herd maintenance, tag, fill feeders, process, help with field dressing of animals. Maintain deer blinds. Tend to cattle, herd and sort cattle for either sale, transport, health evaluations, vaccinations or other medications as needed, worm as needed. Operate, maintain, repair farm equipment and vehicles. Maintain and repair sheds, fences, barns. Trim trees, mow, weed eat and general clean up around ranch. Operation of equipment to maintain roads and fences. Facilities maintenance such as maintaining and repairing fences, barns, sheds, water troughs, tanks/ponds, working pends, traps and feeders. Put out hay and feed daily, make herd health evaluations. Conduct regular pasture/brush management. Remove weeds and brush, trim trees, mow and weed eat around facilities and around buildings. Exposure to extreme temp, repetitive movements, extensive pushing, pulling walking and frequent stooping Involves lifting and carrying of 50 lbs frequently May be required to take post hire random drug and/or alcohol tests, at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination. May be required to submit a post hire employer paid criminal background check. Failure to comply or felony convictions that the employer reasonably believes will impair safety of others on the worksite will result in immediate termination. The hours listed represent the normal work schedule. Due to the nature of the duties and weather it is the prevailing practice to work substantially more, less or different hours than those listed, sometimes for extended periods of time. When the number of hours for a week exceeds the number listed then, the worker may be offered, but not required, to work more hours. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on the weekend, a worker’s Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any change to start time.
