Job Duties:

New Ag Center Inc. is an independent ag retailer that provides custom-blended fertilizers and agricultural chemicals, delivering or custom applying them directly onto growers’ fields. We also provide anhydrous ammonia handling and soil fertility testing. In addition to operating and maintaining our custom application equipment, we perform in-house repairs and maintenance during the off-season to ensure equipment reliability. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; maintain grounds and landscaping; maintain inventory; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; weigh containers and record weights and identifying information. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, GPS guidance systems, forklift, pickups, cars, etc, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, skid steers, sprayers, spreaders, straight frame trucks, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, hay, soybeans, wheat. Must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain following hire appropriate CDL and obtain clean driving record to drive trucks. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
