Job Duties:

The lifting requirement for this position is 60 pounds. 49-3041 Senior Farm Equipment Mechanic / Lead Agricultural Equipment Technician This position is a skill level II requires at least one year of agricultural equipment mechanic and repair experience and the ability to be punctual to the worksite on a daily basis during the growing season. The Senior Farm Equipment Mechanic is responsible for leading the diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of a wide range of complex agricultural machinery and fleet assets, including tractors, harvesters, implements, trailers, water systems, and heavy-duty transport equipment. This role supports critical farm operations across both shop and field environments, ensuring maximum equipment uptime during planting and harvest seasons. This position requires advanced technical expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in high-pressure, time-sensitive conditions. The Senior Mechanic serves as a key resource for equipment reliability, guiding shop assistants during the day and contributing to operational efficiency through proactive maintenance strategies.
