Job Duties:

Crops: Blueberries, Strawberries, Grapes Workers will harvest strawberries by hand for processing.Workers may perform the work while kneeling, squatting, or bending over, whichever is most comfortable. Strawberries will be picked into 2-gallon buckets and transferred into boxes with a maximum weight of 13 pounds per box. Workers will handle 6 to 8 boxes per trip and carry two boxes at a time (approximately 27 to 30 pounds combined) from the row to the weighing station or transport them using a company-provided cart. At the weighing station, boxes will be placed on the scale two at a time. Workers will then collect empty boxes and return to continue harvesting. Workers will harvest blueberries for the fresh market by hand while standing or slightly bending over, depending on plant height.Gloves will not be used, as blueberries are harvested for fresh market sale. Blueberries will be picked into 2-gallon buckets and transferred into 13-pound boxes. Workers will carry boxes from the rows to the weighing station, where they will be weighed two at a time (approximately 27 to 30 pounds combined). Workers will perform vineyard work for grape production. Duties include removing grape shoots while standing, with plants at approximately waist height, and raising wires along vineyard rows to support plant growth. This work will be paid on an hourly basis.

No experience required. Work is performed outdoors under varying weather conditions, including heat, sun exposure, and humidity. Workers must wear appropriate clothing, including long pants, long-sleeve shirts and/or jackets, and a cap or hat. Workers must be able to perform prolonged walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting. Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Workers must use appropriate tools and equipment provided by the employer, including gloves (required for strawberries and grapes) and safety glasses (required for grape work). Gloves will not be used for blueberry harvesting.
