- Job Duties:
- Worker will be required hand plant by pulling 3-4 stalks of cane from a cane wagon or walk behind an automatic planter straightening the stalks of cane of sugarcane in rows. Some workers will also be working in crawfish ponds to help finish the harvest. Other duties including but not limited to: shovel work, drainage, minor repair and maintenance to farm equipment and vehicles, keeping house and shop yard clean and free of debris. Drug tests may be administered post-hire at the employer's expense to ensure worker safety and keep in compliance with workers compensation guidelines. Failure to comply or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Workers must comply with all work and posted rules. All workers must be physically able to perform all duties described.
