Job Duties:

Workers will assist in the operation of cotton ginning. May be required to operate various type of equipment including but not limited to a bail hoister, skid steer, forklift, cotton module feeder, cotton bailing press. Assist the gin operator w/ various duties such as making repairs to equipment, clearing blockages, cleaning lint filter. Also refill supplies, sweeping floors, remove trash, picking up cotton on yard, remove and fold tarps. Position requires standing, pushing, pulling, walking and exposure to extreme temperatures. Workers must be physically able to bend, stoop and stand for long periods of time. Workers may need to manually move cotton seed bags, must be able to lift 50 lbs often. *Hiring for 2 shifts 6am to 4pm and 4pm to 2am. Optional advance pay of $500, option to repay via deduction at $50 a week. Deductions will not drop the overall wage below the UDSOL minimum, if the deductions are too great they will not be made. Approximate staggered entry: 7 workers to begin July 10 and 7 workers to begin Aug 1.

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
