- Job Duties:
- Detasseling- Worker shall remove as many tassels as reasonably possible, depending upon weather conditions and volume of corn by and under the control and/or supervision of Company at fields listed as worksites. Roguing- Worker shall remove rogues and off types from seed corn being grown by and under the control and/or supervision of Company at fields listed as worksites. To reach all the plants in the crop, workers will be required to walk long distances up and down rows using employer-supplied hand tools such as clippers and corn knives which require repetitive movements and bending to achieve desired outcome of the detassel and roguing process. Pollen, insects, humidity, heat and rain all add to the challenge of accomplishing the process.
