- Job Duties:
- Crops: Sweet Potato, Tobacco Tobacco planting. Tobacco harvesting. Topping and suckering/cleaning tobacco. Sweet potato planting. Sweet Potato Harvesting: Move through field on uneven ground to collect sweet potatoes in the field and place in 5 gallon bucket. When bucket is full, dump sweet potatoes in trailer parked in middle of row and mark ticket. Pull weeds/chop: Workers will walk along rows as specified by employer and remove weeds and grass from fields by hand or using a long-handled hoe.

- Special Requirements:
- Requires one month verifiable prior work experience in the crop activities listed. Prolonged walking, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Job is outdoors and continues in all types of weather. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height repetitively throughout the workday and able to lift and carry 50 lbs. in field. Must not hinder another workers productivity. Use of personal cell phones or other personal electronic devices during working hours is strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination. Must commit to work the entire contract period. Workers are not permitted to be under the influence of intoxicants of any kind during working hours. Employer reserves the right to conduct post-hire, employer-paid, upon suspicion, post-accident, and/or random drug testing in accordance with state law. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated.
