Job Duties:
Christmas tree production field work including Field preparation, stick/stump removal, burning, hand planting trees with shovels, hand application of fertilizer/lime, application of pesticides and fungicides, culture and pruning work by hand including knife shearing, tipping, tying and removing top training sticks, and basal pruning, work with ladders and/or stilts, weed removal using hand equipment or power tools, harvesting including cutting, moving trees within field or at loading area, baling and wrapping trees, slinging bundles for helicopter removal, decking or loading/unloading trees in trucks/trailers. Nursery production field work including Transplanting and/or lifting of seedlings, harvest and pack-out of transplants/seedlings, moving solid set irrigation pipe, potting and care of nursery grown trees/plants, fertilizing, weeding, application of weedkillers, moving or loading nursery plants, pruning blueberry plants, field or nursery yard cleanup.

Workers may be required to use ladders and to be able to lift 50# from ground to over head. Work outside in inclement weather including wet, cold and rainy conditions. The job requires regular standing and walking. Workers should be able to work on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time. Workers are frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The Worker is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Workers must possess the requisite physical strength and endurance to repeat the above.
