Job Duties:

On farms, in connection with primary lettuce production cycle: support seeding operations by inspecting trays or boards for consistency and monitoring processes for uniformity; Monitor moisture levels in germination areas and make routine adjustments as directed; Perform routine physical inspections and assist with seed trial activities under supervision; Monitor greenhouse conditions, including irrigation systems, nutrient delivery, temperature, humidity, and plant health within the production system. Collect and record routine production information, including crop growth, environmental conditions, and harvest outputs; Visually compare system readings with observed conditions and reporting inconsistencies; Support food safety activities, including routine scouting, sanitation of production areas, and assist with sample collection for testing programs; Assist with operation of standard production equipment as directed; Assist with general production activities as needed in support of greenhouse operations; Maintain cleanliness and organization of greenhouse work areas and equipment.

Special Requirements:

12 months of related experience in hydroponic agriculture required. Greenhouse vegetable experience preferred. Ability to work in hot greenhouse conditions required. Employer will provide and pay for a post-hire medical examination consistent with applicable law and limited to determining the workers ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job. Employer maintains a drug and alcohol policy applicable to all workers. Random, post-hire drug testing may be conducted at employer expense consistent with applicable law. Employer may conduct post-arrival background screening consistent with applicable law at employer expense. Criminal convictions reasonably related to the essential job duties, workplace safety, housing safety, transportation safety, or protection of persons or property may be considered in employment decisions following an individualized assessment consistent with applicable law.
