Job Duties:

Daily feed and water sheep and cattle in preparation for lambing and calving, break ice in water troughs; lamb ewes, calve cows, warm lambs and calves if too cold; check newborn lambs and ewes multiple times daily as well as newborn calves, cows, and heifers, record birth weights, tag animals; administer medicine and vaccinations to animals as necessary; moving animals between pens with pickup and stock trailer or atv for rotational winter grazing; inspect, maintain, set up, repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Approximate staggered entry: 1 worker to bein Aug 1 and 2 workers to begin Jan 1.

Special Requirements:

Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
