Job Duties:

1. **Harvesting Activities: ** - Perform manual and mechanical harvesting of corn, soybeans, and rice using appropriate equipment and techniques. - Inspect crops for quality and readiness for harvest, ensuring compliance with industry standards. - Operate and maintain harvesting machinery, including combines and other harvesting equipment, in a safe and efficient manner. - Collect and transport harvested crops to designated storage areas, ensuring proper handling to minimize damage. 2. **Hauling Responsibilities: ** - Operate a non-CDL truck to transport harvested crops, ensuring timely and safe delivery. - Assist in loading and unloading harvested crops, verifying quantities and quality upon receipt. - Maintain accurate records of transported crops, including quantities and destination. 3. **Field Maintenance: ** - Assist in field preparation for planting and post-harvest activities as directed by farm management. - Participate in routine maintenance and upkeep of farm equipment and storage facilities to ensure operational efficiency. 4. **Safety Compliance: ** - Follow all safety protocols and guidelines as established by the employer and applicable regulations to ensure a safe working environment. - Attend safety meetings and training sessions as required. 5. **General Farm Duties: ** - Assist with other related farm activities as needed, which may include planting, cultivation, and general labor tasks on the farm. - Work collaboratively with other farm workers and management to achieve production goals. **Work Schedule: ** - The work schedule will vary based on weather conditions, crop maturity, and harvest timing. Workers should expect to work long hours, including weekends and holidays, during peak harvest season. **Physical Requirements: ** - The position requires physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly. JOB REQUIRES HAVING OR BEING ABLE TO OBTAIN A DRIVERS LICENSE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE. BASIC ENGLISH LITERACY AND MATH SKILLS REQUIRED. JOB DUTIES WILL REQUIRE WORKERS TO BE OUTDOORS FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME WHEN TEMPERATURES MAY EXCEED 100 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT. SITTING FOR LONG PERIOD OF TIME ON TRACTORS AND FARM EQUIPMENT.
